We as people are starved, depraved of empathy these days, and we are desperate for connection. The loneliness epidemic has become a pandemic which is leading to drug use and abuse, alcoholism, depression, and thoughts of suicide. We need to start having more deep, meaningful conversations and show true empathy.
Depression is pervasive, yet highly stigmatized. We need to have greater discourse about depression, what it looks like, and how to help friends or family who are dealing with it.
